Larisa Nazarova
Research interests: Natural and induced seismicity, Reservoir geomechanics, Design and performance of nonstandard lab tests
Bio: Prof. Larisa Nazarova graduated cum laude from the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of the Novosibirsk State University, holds DSc in Physics and Mathematics from Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics of the Siberian Branch of the RAS (Novosibirsk, Russia). She is currently Principal Scientific Researcher in Chinakal Institute of Mining of the Siberian Branch of the RAS and Professor of the Geophysical Systems Department, Novosibirsk State Technical University.
She takes charge of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research and Russian Science Foundation scientific projects in the areas of mining and borehole geophysics, heat and mass transfer processes in rock mass. Her current research interests include natural and induced seismicity, reservoir geomechanics, design and performance of nonstandard lab tests. She was Key Lecturer in Eurock 2018 - the ISRM European Rock Mechanics Symposium, Invited Lecturer in Tokyo (2014) and McGill (2015) Universities, winner of The Best Paper Award of RocDyn-3 (2018).
She served on Scientific Committee of Eurock 2018 (Saint-Petersburg, Russia), Eurock 2020 (Trondheim, Norway), 4-7 International Scientific Conference-School for Young Scientists "Physical and Mathematical Modeling of Geomedium" (Moscow, Russia, 2018-2021)
She has authored or co-authored over 100 articles in peer review journals. Prof. Nazarova is ISRM Fellow, Editorial Board Member of International Journal of Rock Mechanics and Mining Sciences, Mining Informational and Analytical Bulletin, Processes in Geomedia.
